Lab grown diamonds are just as valuable as natural diamonds, but you may not know which grade of diamond your lab-grown diamond belongs to. There are four grades of lab grown diamonds, A through D, with the A being the most expensive and the D being the least expensive. The grading process assesses how pure the lab-grown diamond is and the quality of its cut.

Color

The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) graded lab grown diamonds to range from colorless to light yellow. Lab-grown diamond retailers grade their inventory using GIA’s scale and categorize them as colorless, near colorless, faint yellow or fancy vivid yellow. Fancy vivid yellow has more white than a colorless diamond while faint yellow has very little white in its hue. There is no grading standard for CVD diamonds because they aren’t created by an outside party. CVD diamond manufacturers don’t use traditional grading scales as GIA does for natural diamonds.

Clarity

The biggest challenge that faces Lab Grown Diamonds is how to make them look as good, if not better than their natural counterparts. But here’s where a great CVD diamond manufacturer can help. A clear and visually appealing stone will be worth a lot more than an opaque diamond, even if it’s cheaper. For example D E F VVS1 VS2 SI1/SI2 I1/I2 VS1+ SI1+ I1+. As you can see, getting down into all those details means that only a skilled gemologist or jeweler who has experience with lab grown diamonds should be grading your stones .

Cut

Lab grown diamonds are available in more shapes than natural mined diamonds and, depending on your priorities, can be just as beautiful. But most consumers don’t understand that there is a difference between them, let alone what those differences mean. In addition to cuts like round, oval and cushion that are available in both natural and man-made gems, a CVD diamond manufacturer also offers fancy cuts that were previously only possible through mining. These include trillion cut diamonds or hearts and arrows cut rocks. A Lab Created Diamond Manufacturer may also be able to make your shape if you desire it – even if it doesn’t yet exist in nature. It is truly up to you how you want your rock to look! To help determine which grade is best for you, keep reading below:

Carat Weight

Depending on where your diamond is manufactured, carat weight may not be used at all. However, a rough equivalent in terms of size can be given based on the manufacturer’s grading system. For example, when CVD diamonds manufacturer their In many cases these rounds will have higher carat weights than their mined counterparts which will also impact their cost per carat value – however, there is also great variance from lab to lab and so you should research multiple manufacturers for accurate comparisons to mined stones.so always use a reputable Lab Created Diamond Manufacturer like Empire State Diamonds!

These weights are just estimates but it does give you an idea about how lab grown diamonds are sized relative to each other even though it doesn’t give much insight into what sort of stone you’re getting since pricing isn’t related to actual weight like it is with mined diamonds but rather color or clarity factors instead.
